I have been in Omeida English School for one week. I want to write some of my feeling staying here as a summarization for my life and learning in one week.

Hoping to escape from the great pressure of working in Shenzhen, I choose to come to Yangshuo. The most attractive thing here is its peace and relaxation, which attract so many foreigners and Chinese. They stay here and spend their leisure and happy days. When I walk on the west street, I see so many foreigners, some are chatting, some are reading newspaper, and some are drinking in bars. They live here and regard it as the second hometown. I was touched by the phenomenon of the mix-culture spreading the entire town. I really like Yangshuo, for not only its perfect English environment but it’s multi-culture. It’s an exciting thing for me to stay here to learn English for two months.

I live in one of school’s apartments, in fact, which is home of a local villagers. They rent some of their rooms to Omeida’s students. The living condition is good and like an apartment. Two persons each room, with beds, chair, desk. We can watch TV, washing machine and shower free, and landlords supply boiled water free and clear the room everyday. Because all the people living here are studying in Omeida, we know fast and make friends with each other, and the atmosphere of learning English are here and there, we chat or joke in English in much time.

Everyday, we have 4 lessons taught by foreign teachers, from8:15 to 12:00am, and from 3:00 to 5:00 pm. There are 3 foreign teachers teaching us in turn. Each of them has their own different teaching ways, but in generally, they will choose a topic and let us discuss around it. During this process, they correct our mistakes or explain some new words to us in English. We can strength our listening and speaking ability greatly. Listening to some interesting introduction or argument in the class is my favorite thing. Sometimes, we laughed greatly because of some funny wrongs we made. Foreign teachers encourage us speak positively and take many methods keeping the atmosphere active. I really like to go to class.

After class. I will go to the classroom to watch some English news on TV or listen to English CD, they are both free. Or I’ll go over what I have learned in daytime. At weekend, I like to join some actions organized by school with foreign teachers or chat with foreigners in the west street. They’re really exciting things! I have never found I really like learning English, and I have so strong impulse to hope to speak fluently English and communicate with foreigner smoothly. Maybe this is just Yangshuo and Omeida’s charming, which supply you a perfect environment and promote you to love English crazily.

I will spend my rest time in Yangshuo, and I think I will get what I want to get.
