The methods of teaching English at Omeida are quite different from traditional Chinese school methods.

In Intermediate Class, teaching methods emphasize the strength's of students English language ability. Practicing grammar and writing compositions are introduced to improve all kinds of abilities. Teachers also write down words on the whiteboard, and then students guess the meanings. If none of the students know the word, the teacher will describe it in a simple way. Other methods include interchange activities and discussion, which can improve your communication skills by simulating a true English-speaking environment.

In Advanced Class, besides the methods mentioned above, debating is introduced. In this kind of class, students are divided into two groups: 'for team' and 'against team'. Each team has to argue their opinions and rebut and question the opponents. At last every team draw their conclusion. In this way, you can develop your ability to think in English.

Besides the classroom, we have some activities in West Street such as accomplishing questionnaires and chatting with foreigners. In short, learning English in Omeida is very interesting and efficient.
