Kathryn has the BA degree of California State University. She spent three semesters in
the education program at California State University at Channel Islands. This program included several classes that focus
on methods for teaching diverse learners, including non-native English speakers. In addition, she has worked with and
taught diverse groups of students over the past two years. She has always been fascinated by the thought of teaching
English in Asia. She is passionate about teaching and enjoys working with students of cultural backgrounds that are
different.

Daryl came from Australia with diplomas of Vocational Education & Training, Business,
Arts, Information Technology and so on. He has got more than 11 years’ experience of business，Teaching, Training and HR
management. He is kind, patience, passionate, and gentle to people around him and he also is strict with his teaching
effect and students. Both Daryl and Glennys like traveling very much and like to know more different cultures and
customs.

来到阳朔长住并致力于英语教学工作。
Glennys came from Australia with certificates in
Training and Assessment, Meeting and Events and International Retail Travel Sales which were issued by Gordon Institute
of TAFE. She has many years of business and teaching experience. She traveled Yangshuo once in 2007 and was attracted
deeply by Yangshuo’s mountain, river and nice people here. So she decided to come back again and stay here longer with
her husband and devote themselves to English Teaching.

I was born in Wales, a country in the United Kingdom. I was raised in a city called
Newport. I have lived in various cities 。
I originally wanted to train as a nurse, but I ended up working for a high street bank.
I spent 7 years there before leaving in the summer of 2006. It was at this time I finally
summoned up the courage to change my life and travel and work abroad. I made my way to
Hainan Province only intending to stay for 6 months, but here I am almost 2 years later.
Firstly I taught in a middle school before spending 3 terms in a vocational college.
Moving to Yangshou is really a different world to what I am used it, I am really exciting
about my new life here.

Jim, American 1971-1977: Attended college in Colorado as well as the University
of Oregon - major studies in journalism, graphic design and art. 1980-1983: Graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in
Journalism and Public Communications.James has many years' experience of business, design, marketing, branding,
advertising, public relations, photography, writing and all areas necessary for business promotion. After retired, he
worked as an ESL English teacher for several years, taught classes in different levels of English to adults from
countries throughout the world. After many visits to China in 2004, he decided he would like to return and teach.

Laura, American Experience & Qualifications:Laura has been a
teacher and counselor for 31 years. She has a Masters of Education. She works well with students and staff and is very
capable as a teacher. Subjects she would like to teach and feels qualified to teach are: Conversational English, Written
English, Business English, American Studies, Creative Writing, Intermediate and Advanced Composition and Individual
Reading. She would also be receptive to any suggested topics the school may have.
