Remember playing tug-of-war when you were young?
It’s a competition in which two teams pull at opposite ends of a rope, each trying to pull the other team over a line between them.
For centuries, tug of war has been celebrated for its positive virtues -- team-building, cooperation, and unity. Today, tug of war operates on much smaller stages.
2 tips for tug-of-war you need to know.
1. Avoid wrapping the rope around your hands to grip it. if the rope begins to slip, you can strain your wrists or break a bone.
2.Don’t use an elastic nylon rope for tug-of-war.If the rope snaps or one team loses its grip, the snap-back of a nylon rope could pose a safety hazard to those nearby.
