Wade Million
I am an American from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor's degree in Communications Media from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. When I graduated college, I worked in business marketing for 3 years where I was in charge of coordinating and producing various marketing plans and strategies through multiple media channels. In the spring of 2011 I decided to quit my job and pursue my desire to travel. I completed my CELTA in Chiang Mai, Thailand and came to China to teach as an English Language Instructor.
In my free time I enjoy outdoor activities like cycling, swimming and hiking. I'm an avid reader and also enjoy playing video games on the computer.
I have been teaching at Omeida since July 2011. I have had the pleasure of teaching many different students with a variety of both age and skill levels. I currently teach levels 1D and 2A (pre-intermediate), but have taught levels 2B and 5 in the past. My topics in class are focused on honing students' conversational skills and cover everything from practical every day language to current events to American and Chinese culture.
I believe the classroom should be student centered. I enjoy giving my students the opportunity to express themselves about the topics covered in class through discussion and debate, as well as getting them to think critically about the information presented. Building vocabulary and conversation skills are the primary focus, as is providing a cultural exchange where they have the opportunity to learn about my background and experiences.
English Study:
The best way to learn English is through continual practice and usage. Even though it can be difficult at times, I always encourage my students to speak English outside of the classroom as often as possible. One of the best recommendations I can provide is to seek out others who speak English fluently. Don't be afraid to go to places where English speakers hang out and start up a conversation!

在Wade 看来，最好的英语学习方法就是不断的练习和运用，尽可能地多说，或者是找一个英语伙伴，多多练习，更要敢于跟外国人聊天。相信自己。
